... Recently I have received many emails which list comparisons when similar acts are carried out by people of different cultures/religions. This brought me to realize my own dilemma and create my very own list of comparisons. So taking cue from the example, "When a nun covers her head its her religion, When a muslim woman does it its extremism"... Here goes nothing!
When I call my kids for dinner once, they take 1/2 an hour to respond
When I call my kids for dinner thrice, they still take 1/2 an hour to respond
When I tell the kids to lay the table, they always forget the glasses
When I tell the kids to lay the table with the glasses, they still forget the glasses
When I cook Karahi, they eat all the meat
When I cook palak gosht, they still eat all the meat
When I allow Hussain computer time, he takes it to the bathroom
When I don’t allow Hussain computer time, he still takes it to the bathroom
When I don't tell Maria to clean under the beds, she forgets
When I do tell Maria to clean under the beds, she still forgets
When I smoke a cigarette, I am inhaling polluted air
When I don’t smoke a cigarette, I am still inhaling polluted air
When I gain weight, I am fat
When I do not gain weight, I am still fat
When I have a glass of wine, I am making a mistake
When I don’t have a glass of wine I am still making a mistake
When I criticize one religion, I am going to Hell
When I criticize all religions, I am still going to Hell
When I support American Govt. I am an American Agent
When I support Pakistani Govt. I am still an American Agent
aaaaallllllllaaaaaaa
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one living in this dilemma, .....:)). Two things, Drinking and not drinking wine is a choice, criticizing and not criticizing a religion is a mistake....:))
